The Pop Up Flea is a short-term store for long-term goods. It’s a shop that opens one weekend at a time and a meeting of the menswear minds. It involves, in no specific order: good people, better things, expert craftsmanship, exercises in refinement, brands you love, up-and-coming designers, and menswear done right. Each time we host a Pop Up Flea event, we select a roster of elite participating brands and open a dream department store to the public for one weekend. Vendors are given free reign to design their own miniature shop, bring merchandise that is hard to find elsewhere and show up to peddle their wares and meet their fans. The Pop Up Flea was born in 2009, and like most successful ventures, it started over cocktails.

The Five Years Club
Seven Brands That Have Been with PUF Since 2009
Of the nearly sixty brands that are showing at this year's NYC event, seven of them belong to the rarest circle of Pop Up Flea vendors: The Five Years Club.
We are, of course, proud of every brand that participates in each and every Pop Up Flea, but these seven brands hold a special place in our hearts because they've been with us from the very start. It was back in 2009, that we organized the first and second editions of the Pop Up Flea. Our brand list was far smaller than it is today, but those seven brands - Aether, Alexander Olch, Billykirk, 3sixteen, Tanner Goods, Tellason, and JP Williams - were all on there at the launch, and remain on the PUF roster to this day. As the Pop Up Flea has grown, so to have these brands. Their collections have grown, they've built up their respective fan bases, and some have opened up stores of their own. And yet, they continue to stick with us year after year. For us, these relationships mean everything, because these brands epitomize what we set out to achieve with that first Pop Up Flea, and what we continue to strive for with each subsequent event. Whether it's Billykirk's bags, Olch's ties, or Tellason's jeans, these guys continue to craft products that represent the height of quality and innovation. So here's to The Five Years Club, and here's to the next five.
